At the DPF we try to encourage people living with PD to recognize and celebrate the small victories in their lives. Every victory counts.
It's critical to focus on a cure.
But people with Parkinson's also need information and ways to live better today. The DPF sponsors programs and symposia that provide the information and actions that can be used today to live well with Parkinson's. Here are a few tips on how to start living well today.
Start the day with a smile and try to keep that positive attitude all day.
Begin an exercise program to keep your muscles moving.
Make your voices heard by taking part in a speech therapy program.
Join in your local support group to share your journey with your peers.
Start living better right now by thinking of small victories in our day as "curative moments"
